Expanded Polystyrene (EPS)
Expanded Polystyrene is a rigid, closed-cell material produced by expanding and fusing polystyrene beads using steam. This process creates a lightweight cellular structure filled primarily with air, giving EPS its strong thermal resistance, low weight, and dependable compressive performance.
Its combination of stable R-value, moisture resistance, recyclability, and flexible manufacturing options makes it a practical material choice for both standard products and project-specific solutions.

Graphite Polystyrene (GPS)
Graphite Polystyrene is a rigid, closed-cell insulation material made by integrating graphite particles into expanded polystyrene. These particles help reflect and absorb radiant heat, allowing GPS to deliver improved thermal performance compared to conventional EPS while maintaining the lightweight structure, durability, and workability that make polystyrene insulation so widely used.

Our Recycling Program
We accept clean EPS and GPS scrap through our recycling program. Eligible material is reprocessed through our facilities to support continued use and reduce unnecessary landfill waste.
We also recycle internal EPS scrap as part of our day-to-day manufacturing process and continue to look for opportunities to improve recovery, reduce waste, and expand responsible material use wherever possible.
As a participating member of the EPS Industry Alliance, Beaver Thermal Solutions is part of a broader industry effort to support responsible EPS recycling and improve material recovery across North America.
