G-TEC
Elasticized EPS Protection for Soil-Structure Movement
G-Tec is an elasticized EPS board for geotechnical applications where controlled compressibility is needed between soil and structures. It helps absorb cyclical soil movement and reduce lateral earth pressures.
- Elasticized EPS
- Reduces Lateral Earth Pressure
- Absorbs Cyclical Soil Movement
- Controlled Compressibility
What is G-Tec?
G-Tec is an elasticized expanded polystyrene (EPS) board designed to act as a compressible inclusion between soil and structural elements. Unlike standard EPS, G-Tec is elasticized to provide a greater useful compression range and improved recovery under cyclical movement. When installed between soil and a structure, it helps absorb ground movement, reduce lateral earth pressure, and accommodate movement from freeze-thaw cycling, seismic activity, and other geotechnical loading conditions.
G-Tec Applications
- Retaining Walls
- Foundation Walls
- Culverts
- Buried Pipes and Utilities
- Bridge Abutments
- Structures Exposed to Earth Pressure Cycling
