G-Tec: Elasticized polystyrene

G-TEC

Elasticized EPS Protection for Soil-Structure Movement

G-Tec is an elasticized EPS board for geotechnical applications where controlled compressibility is needed between soil and structures. It helps absorb cyclical soil movement and reduce lateral earth pressures.

What is G-Tec?

G-Tec is an elasticized expanded polystyrene (EPS) board designed to act as a compressible inclusion between soil and structural elements. Unlike standard EPS, G-Tec is elasticized to provide a greater useful compression range and improved recovery under cyclical movement. When installed between soil and a structure, it helps absorb ground movement, reduce lateral earth pressure, and accommodate movement from freeze-thaw cycling, seismic activity, and other geotechnical loading conditions.

G-Tec Applications

Material
Elasticized closed-cell EPS
Stress-Strain Behaviour
Linear-elastic up to 10% strain; linear proportional up to 30% strain
Compressive Strength at 10% Deformation
≤ 5.0 psi / ≤ 720 psf / ≤ 34.5 kPa

G-Tec Technical Data

G-Tec is available in 4′ x 4′ panels.
