Beaver Thermal Solutions is a solutions-driven EPS and GPS manufacturer serving customers across Western Canada and the Northwestern United States. From our facilities in Acheson, Alberta and Chilliwack, British Columbia, we manufacture insulation and foam-based products for residential, commercial, industrial, civil, and OEM applications.
For more than 59 years, Beaver has grown from a regional foam manufacturer into a trusted supplier of building and infrastructure solutions. Our strength comes from combining manufacturing experience, technical knowledge, and a practical understanding of what customers need on real projects.

Our History

Founded in 1967 by Grant McCarthy, Beaver has grown from a regional EPS manufacturer into a trusted supplier of insulation and foam-based solutions across Western North America. For nearly six decades, Beaver has expanded its manufacturing capabilities, product offering, and distribution network while continuing to focus on customer-driven solutions.
Today, Beaver Thermal Solutions supports construction, roofing, geotechnical, OEM, and specialty applications with practical service, responsive support, and a deep line of EPS and GPS products.

Beaver Plastics Founded

Founded by Grant McCarthy in North East Edmonton.

1970
Block Molding Introduced

Megablock, and Styroblock Products Launched.

1986
Move to Larger Facility

Moved to Larger Manufacturing Plant in West Edmonton.

1997
Chilliwack Plant is Built

Secondary plant is built in Chilliwack, B.C., strengthening service across Western Canada and the US.

2001
Logix Brands Founded

Logix Brands is founded, creating a consortium of five EPS molders across
North America.

2002
Logix ICF

Logix's ICF is introduced, advancing Beaver's presence in the ICF market.

2005
Fortruss

Fortruss is created, furthering Beaver's ICF offering to floors and roofs.

2006
Beaver Plastics Acheson Plant
Acheson Office and Plant

Beaver's head office and plant is moved to our current facility in Acheson, Alberta.

2013
Halo Insulation System

The Halo Insulation System is introduced bringing the Interra, Exterra, and Subterra line.

Heat Sheet Tech
Heat-Sheet

The Heat-Sheet radiant floor heating system is introduced.

2024
Element ICF

Element ICF replaces Logix ICF as the next generation of insulated concrete
forms.

2025
Beaver Thermal Solutions

Beaver Plastics is rebranded to Beaver Thermal Solutions, bringing the
company into a new era.
